Bakehouse Distillery
Dover, Huon Valley, Far South Tasmania
For a uniquely Southern Tasmanian experience, delight your senses with cellar door tastings of hand-crafted botanical spirits, and delicious freshly made sourdough bread at the Bakehouse Distillery.
Bakehouse Distillery is situated within a historic 100-year old bakehouse, 90 minutes south of Hobart in Tasmania’s picturesque Far South.
The bakehouse produces wood-fired sourdough bread made from the finest Tasmanian ingredients. In 1920, the Dover Bakehouse was built to produce bread for the Tasmanian Far South community, and today that tradition continues with the smell of fresh bread every Friday.
The distillery produces a unique Spirit, ‘Evoke’, which is made with Tasmanian sassafras, additional native botanicals, and pure Tasmanian rainwater. This authentically Tasmanian spirit captures the essence of the flavours and fragrances of Tasmania’s ancient forests for a truly special regional taste.
Contact the Bakehouse Distillery team on 0409 981 062 to arrange tastings and an expert explanation of the distillation process.
